SECTION 7.3 Dometic Awning

The Dometic awning is a cassette system whose casing protects the fabric and mechanical parts. Its wall-mounted or roof-mounted design suits different vehicle types. Opening the awning

Check the wind, slope and obstacles and choose a safe area. Attach the manual lever to the connection point on the awning cassette. Slowly and carefully pull the fabric outward with your arm. When the fabric is fully open and stretched, secure the arm to maintain tension. Make sure both sides open evenly and symmetrically.

Closing the awning

Loosen the fasteners or lift the awning foot. Slowly roll the fabric inward with the manual crank in a controlled, balanced way. When fully retracted, close the cassette cover and check that the awning is locked.

IMPORTANT NOTICES

Do not pull the fabric with hard objects or let it touch sharp edges. Close and secure the awning during long-term parking and in strong wind.
