Marble Terrace This gorgeous terrace is home to the Baghdad and Revan Kiosks, the tiled imperial circumcision room and the Ģ ftariye Kameriyesi, a viewing platform with a gilded canopy. During Ramazan, the sultan would enjoy his iftar (breaking of the fast) here.

Imperial Treasury One of the highlights here is the famous Topkap × Dagger, which was commissioned in 1747 by Sultan Mahmut I as a lavish gift for Nadir Shah of Persia. The shah was assassinated before it could be given to him.

Ticket O ՚ ce O ce

Gate of Felicity This rococo-style gate was used for state ceremonies, including the sultan’s accession and funeral. Through the gate, which was guarded by white eunuchs, was the Third Court, the sultan's private domain.

Audience Chamber Surrounded by a colonnade of 22 columns, this restored pavilion was where the sultan sat on a canopied throne to receive his grand viziers and foreign dignitaries.

Palace Kitchens

Keeping the palace’s 4000 residents fed was a huge task. Topkap × ’s kitchens occupied 10 domed buildings with 20 huge chimneys, and were workplace and home for 800 members of sta ՙ .
